Does anyone have referents about where to start with artic therapy. I usually start where there is stimulability, earliest developing sounds, easiest to see visually, etc. However I was told by a therapist that there is research out there that states young children (3-5ish) you should start with /s/ blends because it impacts intelligibility most. Also, if you start with a targeted sound, it is over-used throughout speech and creates more artic difficulties. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or the research behind it?
