I am a new CF who recently took over seeing a 13 year old client with apraxia. He is about 70% intelligible in conversation, so relatively mild at this point, but I know that there is a lot of inconsistency with this disorder. His main errors are with /r/ and /s/ (although the /r/ has been targeted previously in therapy). I have been doing a lot of repetitive practice in isolation and at the word level, lots of feedback about the quality of his productions, placement cues, and always trying to give him the opportunity to self correct. I guess what I am trying to figure out is if there is anything else I should be doing - I haven't worked with many clients with apraxia. Any resources/programs anyone could suggest would be helpful, or an explanation of a typical therapy session for an older child with "higher level" apraxia.
