s/z voicing errors

I have a student who has been working on s/z for 3 years. Now she is mine. It seems she is using a tongue down position to make these sounds and has been trying to change to a tongue up position with no success. My feeling is I don't care where the tongue is positioned as long as the sound is correct...What do you all think? Also I hear voicing errors on the s/z any tips for remediation?
