5th grade is too long to still be in speech! when they get to this age it is all about drill and carryover for me - no more games. I do spice up the sessions every once in a while to avoid redundancy but at this point they should be achieving more success. Unless they started w/ a severe disorder (apraxia, hearing impairment, etc.) then I don't allow my older students to play games each session...parents should also be helping out much more at this stage.
