I have a fifth grader with a goal to improve problem solving skills. What kind of activities could you do to address that goal? I feel like I am getting stuck in a rut by just having him list solutions to possible problems. Could I also do some reasoning skills such as cause/effect? Sometimes, I get so stuck on just addressing the goal and have trouble thinking outside the box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
