DAYC = Developmental Assessment of Young Children. The norms aren't the greatest and some of the items are not (in my opinion) very age appropriate, but it will give you a sense of where the child is functioning and where to start. I don't have the manual, but I have used it quite a bit (mostly for kids 2yrs and under or very low functioning) while I was on an assessment team. If I remember correctly, the basal is 5 consecutive 1's, and the ceiling is 3 missed items out of a consecutive 5 (e.g. 01001)Count the # of 1s between the first item of the basal and the last correct item of the ceiling for raw score.
