I would move onto a different sound (if there is one). I have found that sometime a student is just not ready to make the /k/ and /g/ sounds. I have found that if you leave it alone for a while they might be more successful in the future. OR You could also stick with just audotory bombardmaent for a while.
I did this with a student for an entire year. (I did not work on production of /g/ or /k/ at all, just /s/ and /f/.) By the end of the school year she all of a sudden realized that she sid "camel" the incorrect way and self-corrected herself. I was AMAZED.
