That is such a tough disorder to treat due to the fact that some research indicates the child may being talking again as quickly as they stopped. Unfortunately, in the child I worked with, that did not happen. We tried all sorts of comm. systems and devices with NO success and that played a big role in the lack of success he had. He was simply not motivated to communicate. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
