My son is 5 yrs old and stuggles with expressive language. When asked to tell a story about a picture he drew of a house, clouds, grass, car, etc. (detialed pic) he just names each item. I started the story for him "One day..." and he still continued to label the nouns he drew. What are children of his age supposed to be able to do in terms of story telling?
