If his errors are age appropriate, then he is a typically developing child. Do what you need to to ease your mind, but your child is not a preschooler with a handicap, no matter what state you are in. If you want to stimulate sound production, you would start with the 'l' sound. It develops before r and th in children. I wouldn't make an issue out of it though. Do it in a natural manner as you interact with uour child. Sorry, but I feel you're wasting the SLPs time, you already know he's typical.
