I pair it with vowels sounds. I say it prolonging f-f-f-f- ay, then I have the child try to say it with me. Often times the 'p' pops in, so I say make the 'f' sound and when I snap my fingers say "ay" and so forth. I might softly say it with him. It may take many repetitions before it works.
