I had a student with a lateral lisp who also shifted her jaw slightly. One day I stabilized her jaw, and........she had a perfect /s/. Away to try this is to have him cross one leg over the other, then rest his elbow in the knee area and put his hhand under his chin. Then have him try /s/.It's worth a shot! Now. I've had other lateral lispers for whom this DIDN'T work, and I had to shape the /s/ from a /t/ and from there go to final /ts/ words.
