I work with several preschoolers with phonological disorders. Many stop their airflow/strident sounds, including /s/. When working on the sound, they sometimes will get the stridency (what I am looking for), but it might be a frontal /s/. I feel that is fine for right now, as a frontal /s/ would be developmentally appropriate. However, I wrote the goal to be "will use fricatives (f, v, s, z)"...something to that effect. How do you word your goals to emphasize that you just want stridency...not perfection of the /s/????
