You can also try inserting an /h/ after the /s/ so the child learns to continue the airflow as they transition into the vowel. Then I fade the /h/ when possible. I try this for 2 or 3 sessions but if it doesn't work rather quickly, I switch to word final position or blends and come back to it later.
