HeLP! I have a child who has a lateral /s/ and /z/ lisp but also has somewhat of a underbite. Mom is not very pleasant and is upset that her son has been in speech for 3 years and no progress (even though I've only been seeing him for 2 months myself), so I'm under a lot of pressure to please mom. I mentioned that he may have an underbite and that she should take him to a dentist. I really don't know what to do with this child I tried the butterfly approach and it doesn't seem to work any better than anything else!
