The problem lies with the fact that Papazian and Tuie hired this guy. Neither of these three have had any experience, whatsoever, in building a D1 football program. Yet Tuite and Papazian put the program in his hands because they preferred his personality. Stupid is as stupid does.
He is a young buck and I've seen him in too many post game interview getting too defensive. In the Wyoming interview he was very testy.
"It is what it is," answer respectfully, not with attitude or sarcasm.
I want B.B. to succeed. I really think he can, but I'm not sure that he's taking a high level management role. If you're the leader you have to make big decisions on player personnel and who should be playing.
i.e., why isn't Chandler Hawkins playing at Safety? I've seen Trey Webb flake on so many tackles this year it'd pitiful. Chandler was the best tackler in the defensive backfield last year.
B.B. has to say to Odum, I want to see Chandler play.
