Last year the Spartans lost some winnable games. Had they had a bit more inspiration from RC things might have been different: but it is what is was what could have been doesn't mean a thing.
So, this is my take. The team has a core of good players. Hopefully they are inspired to end their careers with a bang. The DBs are sure tacklers. The LBs are unproven, and the DL has a lot of questions. Now I think there are some good players on the DL and LB squads, these are the biggest areas of concern. South Florida is a very good team. So again the first game of the season will be test of fire.
The offense has to carry this team. Montel Aaron has the physical ability: tall, fast, strong arm. I just hope he grows up quickly and makes good decisions, i.e. don't throw interceptions. 3-n-outs will be OK, but no fumbles and no interceptions. With some type of running game the Spartans should be competitive.
I say 6 wins and a bowl game!
