: Since there is no news out of Spring Training
: I'd like to start a conversation about
: starting lineups and depth at positions.
: Let's start with the LB's.
:
: Christian Tago: Well, no one doubts that CT
: will be on the inside. He seems to get
: tougher every year. This being his senior
: year, I expect he will take it to another
: level.
:
: Frank Ginda: Frank has the physical tools to
: be a great LB, but last year he missed too
: many tackles because he over committed, and
: sometimes he let himself get blocked because
: he let O-Linemen get to him. I hope he steps
: up his game.
:
: William Ossai: Will got a lot of playing
: time, even though I thought he was in over
: his head most of the time. He has got to
: sharpen his instincts and learn the game.
: This is not HS. He has size, speed and
: strength, but not enough football instinct.
: I hope he develops them and fast!
:
: Epie Sona: He may play a lot more this year.
: He is tough and has good instincts, but not
: the size, although he looks big in a
: uniform. He needs to be on the inside, if he
: becomes a starter. I think he can plug-up
: some holes.
:
: Now to some real optimism with some new
: players:
:
: Brett Foley: I really think this kid has
: a--"as RC says about each of his
: recruits"--huge upside. He has speed,
: size and I believe some "football
: instincts." I have high hopes that if
: given a change Brett will be a player.
:
:
: Cory Adolphus: Another reason to be
: optimistic, Cory only has to put on some
: weight. I think he could become a force on
: the inside. I just don't know if he has the
: speed to be on the outside.
:
: The LB corps seems to be thinning out. This
: was one of the deepest positions during
: Coach Mac's tenure.
:
: Comment: The biggest mistake that RC did was
: keep Shane Smith at FB. RC doesn't have a
: clue about personnel, and putting players in
: positions where they will be successful.
: Mark my words--Shane will be a LB at the
: next level.
:
: Now, what are your opinions?
