Caragher seems like some kind of robot when he talks about such a tough loss against Navy. He never mentions how devastating it must have been for the players, only how the blew it by not being perfect in all phases of the game. Come on! "You don't have to be perfect to win every game." Look at SDSU's last two wins against the Spartans and then against Boise. You just need better coaching. Kenwick Thompson puts the Spartan defense literally in a defensive mode. He want's them to react instead of attacking. That puts the defense always a step behind. This was especially evident against Navy. Keith Smith was makings all his tackles 5-6yd beyond the line of scrimmage. Keith must have been burnt-out after the game. He had to start each play from the middle of the line instead of closer to the edge in a normal alignment. Kenwick is pulling off grade school, school yard schemes against sophisticated D1 offenses. I think Bleymeir will have to force Caragher to let Kenwick go. The defense is just a shell of its former self. What was Caragher thinking! Kenwick came from Cal, didn't he see what the history of Cal's defense was over the years, and still is! Caragher just doesn't make very good decisions. I hope he makes the right one and gets himself a real Defensive Coordinator.
