First: the Spartans get to the 14 yd line (twice) and they call a sideline screen? What's up with that?
Second: Caragher says he likes to take his shots, this game plan reminded me of the Dick Tomey era.
Third: it didn't seem like the D-coordinator pulled out the stops, not much blitzing. That's what I liked about Kent Baer.
Fourth: The team gutted it out. I'm encouraged by the Spartans getting first downs on third-and-short a few times.
Fifth: even though David Fales isn't into all the hype I think he's a little tight because he expects too much from himself. Once he loosens up, the Spartans will be Ok. He has a couple of good throws between defenders tonight.
GOOOO SPARTANS, DON"T HANG YOUR HEADS, HOLD THEM HIGH!!!!!!
Minnesota won't be easy, they're 2-0. Good Luck.
