walk around downtown and see if I noticed
anything different than the time I grew up in
SJ.
I went from the train station over to MLK
library on a free shuttle called dash.
I went into the library (first time) and really
didn't see any Spartan Football posters there.
I walked down the street over to the lightrail
on first street and as I walked I looked around
and didn't see any San Jose State Football
posters or signs.
I looked in all of the business windows and saw
some 49ers and raiders stuff but nothing san
jose.
I took the lightrail up to North 1st street and
looked to see if I could see any SJSU
supporters. ...Nothing.
I took the lightrail back and walked down Santa
Clara street looking around and saw zero sj
posters. I went back to the train station a
little discouraged. I don't think anybody at SJ
State is doing anything to get the word out at
all.
I didn't see any San Jose State University
signs, placards, marketing or support anywhere
I went. Somebody needs to remind these
businesses that most of their business comes
from the University and athletics. Without the
30,000 students around constantly, who's gonna
buy their crap?
Of course I did see the drug peddlers from
oakland and some illegal aliens so that
hasn't changed either. One asked me if I wanted
weed. I shook my head no and he growled, I
should have socked 'em. Eh, let the cops do
their jobs and clean those people out of there.
