It's nice but Spartan Stadium has spoiled us, there's not a bad seat in the house. Watching at Stanford, unless you're on the 50 20 rows and below you can barely make out what's going on. From the visitor section it's not any easier and every play we have to wait for the announcer to tell us what happened, unless of course they are on that side near the endzone. I guess it's what's intended but I'd much rather be spoiled and enjoy the game at SS. Stanford stadium has all the bells and whistles though but it's not very fun if you can't make out what's going on in game. At SS you know when someone picks their nose, not that anybody wanted to see that but you could. If the renderings of SS get done and an expansion of eastside get done with more speakers around the stadium that should be fine, and should increase capacity to around 45,000.

: It was built by big buck donors,no long drawn
: promotion, in very short time frame.I
: haven't
: attended any games there and it appears to
: be
: (t.v.) nice and comfy unlike old huge one.

: We've gone to this game every year and
: represent as best we can as Spartan
: "traveling" fan's. I agree with
: you about the tree's. I watched the Stanford
: spring game and if people think they are
: going to be weaker due to the loss of Luck
: and the personell losses on O-line are going
: to be in for a rude awakening. They were
: good, USC type good, maybe even better. The
: only way to not get blown out in this game
: is to get into a "shoot out" and
: match score for score because they are going
: to score, a lot. If the thinking is keep it
: close and win it in the fourth quarter I'm
: afraid that's not going to happen and could
: get ugly. You could get away with that
: thinking with a "lesser" opponent
: but not with a machine like that. Just go
: out and go to work, chopping down the tree
: and keep chopping away until you can't chop
: anymore. Start fast and finish strong and
: hopefully the scoreboard when the clock says
: 0:00 at the end of the fourth quarter we
: have more than they do.

: They actually did pretty good last year and
: I
: believe they are 1 small step away from
: winning at least 3 or 4 more this year. When
: they had the lead, (up on Idaho by 20), they
: stopped. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER
: NEVER stop.
:
: OK OK if you're up by 50 you have my
: permission to run the ball the rest of the
: way.

: With new OC I'm hoping he opens the offense
: a
: bit and throw downfield more;in other words,
: stretch the field.Last yr it was
: predictable, off tackle runs and swing
: passes.Def. kept us in the
: game so to speak.Overall the offense should
: be
: more productive running and passing.

: IMO, If the season starts out great (upset
: at
: Stanford -28) ESPN will be picking up all
: the San Jose games they can get their hands
: on. If the season starts out good or ok
: (competitive with Stanford) then they could
: be picking up a few more ala BYU/Lala. If
: the season starts out bad (dismantled at
: Stanford) then they'll be lucky to be on tv
: at all. I hope Fales is as good as
: advertised and/but Jurich is ready to step
: in and win it this time if he's not. SJ
: should have beaten LA last year (I was
: there) and I'm glad there's a new OC this
: year after that play calling.

: Also, Inside Sparta disclosed the same info
: on
: televised games.I would like to see BYU game
: telvised too.Starting with the Cards if we
: can
: give them a run for their money it could be
: start
: of something big in terms of televised games
: for
: the Spartans.I'm not advocate of night
: games,gets
: too cold, rather enjoy warm sunny day at
: Spartan
: Stadium chomping down on those hotdogs and
: chips and jibber, jabber with the fans.

: I just received an email that the San Jose
: vs.
: Utah State game will be televised as well as
: San Jose vs. Colorado State on or through
: ESPN/3.
:
: The Navy game will be telecast on CBS Sports
: Network at 3:30

: After having 10 of 12 games televised last
: year I find that surprising. However I do
: expect that some of the games will be picked
: up as the season gets close, and, if the
: season goes well perhaps in season too.
