Dear Spartan Fans, for the last 15 or so years I have provided a spot for Spartan fans to get together and talk Spartan athletics while hopefully providing information to you fans and the general public alike. I started this board when Bob Salas was winding his board down after providing excellent coverage (better then what the Athletic Department was doing at the time I might add). I was already hooked on the fan interaction on the web and I didn’t want all of his hard work to disappear and have nowhere else to go so I opened up this board to allow a somewhat smooth transition.
The board was originally meant to stay open until a more suitable site was started but that took awhile and by the time another site opened, there was a good following and I figured that it didn’t hurt to leave it up and let people post as they please. Over the years, the board had its ups and downs and at times, I thought, why bother with it but it always came back to my thought that ultimately it was good for the school. That brings us to now.
After some conversations with the guys over at Inside Sparta, I have decided to merge this site with them so we can more concisely and completely cover Spartan Athletics and hopefully bring everyone under one roof so to speak. I think the coverage will be outstanding as soon as everything is set in place. Thanks to Don, SJSdude, Spartan Hoops, and Bozar for inviting this site to be part of this new era.
I want to thank everyone who has ever posted or just browsed the site over the years and look forward to talking to each of you at insidesparta.com. I will leave this site up for the time being as a link to the new site and hope to see all of you over at the new board. Thanks again and I will talk to you all soon.
