Welcome to Vince Belotti (no relation to Mike) will be joining the Spartans for spring camp. A big, hard-hitting safety (6-2, 215) he can really lay the lumber and he is a center fielder in the backfield -- great hands. He had close to 50 tackles two years ago at Foothill JC and 7 Ints.
He now becomes the leading contender (IMHO) to replace Devin Newsome at FS -- if Newsome returns to his natural position of CB.
