Three Spartans In Texas Vs. The Nation All-Star Game

El Paso, Texas -----Wide receiver David Richmond, cornerback Christopher Owens and running back Yonus Davis from the 2008 San Jose State University football team are scheduled to play in the third annual Texas vs. The Nation all-star game. This year’s game is set for Saturday, January 31, in the Sun Bowl.
Richmond (#88) and Owens (#29) are on the Texas team roster coached by former University of Alabama and St. Louis Cardinals head coach Gene Stallings.
Davis (#6) is on The Nation roster coached by Florida Atlantic University head coach Howard Schnellenberger.
CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV) provides live play-by-play coverage beginning at Noon (PST). DISH Network subscribers can watch the game on Channel 152 while DirecTV subscribers should tune to Channel 613.
During January, 2009, five Spartans from the 2008 team received invitations to play in a post-season college all-star game. Defensive tackle Jarron Gilbert played in the East-West Shrine Game in Houston, Texas and cornerback Coye Francies played in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
