Former Indiana Hoosier Eli Holman confirmed to UDM

Eli Holman -- a 6-foot-10, 210-pound freshman center -- is following one of his coaches from Indiana to Detroit Mercy.
Holman confirmed his enrollment at UDM in a text message Tuesday to his high school coach, Robert Collins.
"He's an NBA player," said Collins, the former coach at Richmond, Calif. "I think he can do a lot of good there."
Holman was redshirted after injuring his left wrist early in his first season at Indiana. He will have four years of eligibility at UDM starting in 2010 but must sit out the 2008-09 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules.
Ray McCallum was introduced as coach at UDM on April 11 after two seasons as an assistant at Indiana.
Last week, when Holman told coach Tom Crean that he would transfer, a disturbance occurred that resulted in a call to campus police. Holman then left peaceably. Collins called it a "big misunderstanding."
