Got word that the following six HS players will attempt to walk-on to SJSU next season.
* RB/DB Roger Rose Jr. (6-0, 195, Gunderson) numbers: 1648 yards rushing (over 3,000 yards for two years), 9 yards a carry average, 55 tackles, and 1 INT. Same HS as James Jones
* DE/LS Danny Ochoa (6-2, 225, Oak Grove) numbers: 90 tackles and 4 sacks
* WR Jagjeet Sidhu (6-2, 190, Lincoln) numbers: 39 receptions and 800 yards (21 yards per reception). Also the team holder on kicks
* RB/LB Markle Kalani (5-11, 215, Branham) numbers 620 yards rushing, 5.5 yard average per carry
* WR/DB/KR Darren Sumida (6-1, 175 Silver Creek) 25 receptions for 347 yards. 37 tackles and 3 INTS. Can also run the option at QB
* RB Pomele Havelock (5- 10, 210) numbers: 900 yards rushing, almost 6 yards per carry
Another local players that we were courting:
* OT/DT: Jacob Faegai (6-4, 320): best HS lineman in northern California had offers from Oregon to Cal and from us-- could not get his grades together and will go to Western Arizona
* Kenny Jackson: son of a former Spartan great is going to Cal SLO
* WR David Henderson: top-rated WR candidate has not chosen a school
* RB Nevin Gardiner: 2000 yard rusher from last year has not decided
* OT Dallas Jackson : (6- 5, 300 ) maybe the second best OL man has not decided
