If a D1A student athlete transfers to another D1-A school, they are ineligilbe to play for their new school for two semesters, or four quarters. That's why basketball players that transfer in time for the spring semester can't play again until the fall semester has completed. The number of games that they played in has no bearing as to when they can play for their new school.
