I've got a copy of my dad's older brother's offer from Santa Clara in the late 1920's! It even talks about the actual amount of the offer and is signed by the President of SCU, not his coach Adam Walsh (yes, the same captain of Notre Dame's "Four Horsemen" team who later coach the Rams when they moved from Cleveland. (How many of you knew the Rams moved west from Cleveland?) I'm saving the letter for a book I'm writing.
