Danny died of a heart attack about 6 to 7 years ago. He was in his early 50's. When I first moved to Monterey, I used to see Danny tending bar at at place in downtown Monterey on Tyler St. called "Fanny's" - He tended bar there for years. Cass Jackson coached at MPC at that time and used to come in every night. I was a regular there for MNF. They had a small kitchen and the cook used to turn out a great "all-you-can-eat" spaghetti feed for the Monday nite games. There were some great times there and funny stories too. Danny was a fun guy and was great to be around. Very gregarious. I miss him.
