Until Gayle Kludt brought it up, I almost forgot that I painted a cartoon of Danny tossing three footballs—one for each TD he threw in that shutout of Cal. I must have given it to coach Harry Anderson that season. Gayle mentioned that she found it in a store and brought it back to SJS for the Dave Baldwin's coaches' office. Hopefully it's still there.
Danny bartended at the old Toot's Lagoon in downtown Carmel. The pipes are playing "Danny Boy" today.
