A good friend of mine described this year as a 'successful disappointment'. There were some notable highlights with wins over Utah State, Nevada (and of course Fresno), with road wins vs. Portland St., and winning the opening tournament in Tennessee. But we did not end the regular season strong, as I had hoped.
I had sensed in the game vs. Idaho, the team was wearing down emotionally. It is a long season for a young team, and if this is the situation, it is something the players and coaches need to prepare for next year. The coaches have done well in bringing on better talent, and we did show better overall on the court this year, but next year we need to show even better.
