Another $1.5 million to raise? Sounds like Title IX is rearing it's ugly (subsidized) head there.
Fresno has grown so much in recent years, I wonder if their fans are becoming complacent. Even though they're still the only game in town, the proliferation of pay-per-view, multiple cable/satellite channels, ESPN GamePlan, etc., has made watching games from the comfort of one's own home much more accessible (and perhaps ven appealing) than ever.
Despite what we'd like to think, I don't suppose they'll stay a backwater town forever. I'd also venture a guess that if they ever got a pro sports team down the road the Bulldog "mystique" in Fresno would fade further still...
