Now that's more like it. I don't mind disagreements but to just throw out a 1 liner insult (if that's what they were) and walk off..
I'm seeking disagreement and predictions if you want to know the truth. I want to know why we've already lost? You make a great point about depth, (very hard to argue) but I also learned last year that when we walk into a stadium like Sun Devil Stadium and it's 120 degrees with 60+ thousand fans screaming their heads off at us, something happens to us. I honestly think we were not just young but(gulp).. afraid. The same holds true for the Fresno State, Kansas State, Boise State, and Stanford games. I want to know how our guys can use that fear to play better with passion and heart as opposed to rolling over and letting it burn us up and turn us into frozen statues. I think that's why I tend to be more optomistic as opposed to pessimistic because I want our guys to play with confidence and smack someone, or at least, give the impression of not being scared.
The way we came back against Nevada said alot, to me, about the gameday experience our guys received last year. They learned the most important lesson this game has to teach, "Never Give Up"! We struggled and lost to LT but we were 20 yards from returning to the NMB and didn't give up. That experience last year coupled with our transfers that had to wait on the sideline all year, IMO is going to be the difference in this years team. Mark my words (no pun intended).

: sjsbuff. You make too much sense, you're
: pissing me off so stop it! I agree with your
: assessment. I'm hoping to go to the NU game
: and I think flames will be bursting out of
: their (NU's) nostrils. Last year was weird
: for them and I think their new coach will
: have them on track. They will be better but
: will still lose to the tough teams in the
: Big12. Losing to Kansas (as good as they
: were) and Colorado spelled the end for
: Callahan. Stanford. I expect a better game
: from the Spartans and less of one from
: Stanford. I don't know if that'll spell a
: win but it could so 3-1 would be perfectly
: acceptable in my book.

: MostWanted, it seems to me that others here
: are accusing you of drinking a little too
: much of the ol' homer "kool-aid".
: Nothing wrong with that, as you solicited
: opinions.... and you got them. Makes no
: sense if everyone simply falls in line with
: your thinking, so take it with a grain of
: salt (or in this case, sugar - you know,
: there's lots of that to be had in those
: little kool-aid packets).
:
: Since you want predictions, I think 3-1 is
: absolute best case for the Spartans... and
: 1-3 is worst case. A 2-2 mark seems the
: most likely, with a run of the mill win over
: Davis and a hard fought victory over an
: improving SDSU team.
:
: The Stanford game is a bit of a wild card.
: No way they're 37 points better than the
: Spartans in 2008. Still, as much as I hate
: to say it, I think we lose that one.. but
: will quickly add that I wouldn't be all that
: surprised if we managed to pull off an
: upset.
:
: As for NU? Not much chance there. Last
: year at ASU and KSU was a learning
: experience for the team for sure, but we
: just don't have the BCS depth to beat such a
: storied Big 12 team, especially on the road.
: They may be down, but their down is still
: better than half of the BCS teams out there
: and prboably 90-95% of the mid-majors.
:
: Back to the Cardinal, I wonder how much of a
: "revenge" factor will be present,
: as that rout surely will have been an
: embarrasing score for SJSU to live with for
: 12 full months. Much in the same vein, I
: expect the Spartans to bounce back against
: Fresno and give them a much more competitive
: game than succumbing to a 30-0 type
: drubbing.
:
: It's too early to predict that game, but I
: think if we beat any "good" WAC
: team this year it will be either Hawaii or
: Boise, not the hated Bulldogs...

: I don't have any on this board, but you can
: post your's if you like. BTW, what do you
: mean by this:
:
: "Wow, SJSU suddenly became USC."
:
: I'm detected a little hostility, I sincerely
: hope this is not the case.
