Speculation on the Kentucky board is that WR Aaron Boyd has narrowed his choice down to either Kentucky or Oregon. He has indicated that he won't announce his decision until February 6.
Should Boyd choose Kentucky, then Fullerton College's Marquis Avery could be looking to SJSU as his fallback plan. Avery has indicated he will sign with Kentucky if they offer. However, the coaches at KU are waiting on Boyd's decision.
My gut tells me that Boyd is going to commit to Kentucky. Why? Because he's from Lexington, and he knows that if he drags it out to the end, and bags on the Wildcats, he's going to be an un-popular guy in his hometown.
Of course, there are no guarantees that Avery will sign with SJSU if Kentucky doesn't come through for him
Further down the chain is Orange Coast WR Nathan Barnett, who may be waiting on what Avery does.
Should Avery not sign with SJSU, then perhaps Barnett is our guy.
