Recruting is a complicted process. There could be a host of various reasons why a particular kid does not fit at a particular school. Could be coaching philosophies, returning talent, availability of a particular major, a kid's grades, etc., etc.
In this case, it is interesting that he did not end up at a D-1 school (or whatever its called these days). I hope the young man and his family made the right decision for him. I wish him well.
