Got an alert from Scout last night stating that Ina Lianian had given us his verbal commitment. Here's the story, a re-print from Scout.
Oxnard (Calif.) "Rio Mesa fullback/linebacker Ina Liaina (6-0, 213, 4.66), the #9 fullback nationally by Scout.com, has added two more offers.
"Ina has offers from Oregon State, Hawaii, San Diego State and BYU," said personal trainer John Diaz.
The Warriors and the Aztecs were the two most recent schools to offer Liana, who was offered by Oregon State and BYU earlier in the spring following solid showings at the L.A. Scout.com Combine and the Ventura County Coaches Combine.
Last fall, Liaina was a major cog in the Spartans CIF-Northern Division quarterfinal season, rushing for 452 yards on 52 carries and scoring two touchdowns as the primary blocker for Oregon freshman running back Malachi Lewis. He also had 18 catches for 337 yards and four touchdowns.
Defensively, Liaina added 86 tackles and two sacks from his linebacker spot."
