In 2005, Tomey's first recruiting class, SJSU signed (8) JC players on LOI day.
The next year (2007), SJSU signed (7).
Last year, the number of JC players signed on LOI day dropped to (6).
I predict that trend will continue, and that SJSU will sign no more than (5) JC players on February 6th, and maybe as few as three.
Part of that comes from the reduced number of scholarships available, but also because Tomey put in a plan to ween SJSU's reliance on JC players, and only fill immedidate needs, or bring in players with exceptional skills.
