Here's an evaluation on Quinn Garner that I found on ESPN:
"Evaluation: Garner may be raw, but he possesses the natural tools for a program to polish up and develop. He is tall, thickly-built, but still has the room to add another 10-15 pounds of muscle while retaining current speed. He is a tough, physical and effective vertical run plugger. Flashes good aggressiveness and strength at the point of attack. Excels at blowing up fullbacks on isolation plays and stalemating linemen on straight-line cutoff blocks. We like his motor and relentless style of play-- he seldom gives up on a play even when caught out of position. However, those traits alone won't lead to production at the college level; we have some concerns about his transition. Tends to stand up on his first step hindering his reaction speed while making him susceptible to cutoff blocks. Flashes difficulty sifting through the lateral traffic. Pursuit angles are often rounded from his lack of fluidity and shedding technique getting over blocks. Needs to play with proper leverage consistently to support his effectiveness at the point of attack. Struggles with his athleticism in space-- currently lacks the change-of-direction quickness needed to mirror elusive skill players. Coverage range and skills are marginal. Garner plays best attacking downhill not moving backwards or laterally. We feel his vertical ability, short-area power and eventual size might be better utilized as a defensive end in college. Reads would be clearer as well and allow him to attack more than read. His continued physical development could dictate position and impact at the next level."
