Two Colorado football players have decided to leave the program, bringing the total number of departures since the end of the season to five.
Defensive lineman Christopher Perri...
Perri spent only one year in the program after transferring to CU from San Jose State through Laney College. He earned minimal playing time in nine games in 2007, making a total of seven tackles in 121 plays from scrimmage.
Perri made news twice for his involvement in fistfghts off the field last summer. He was arrested on the Fourth of July for a fight with fellow defensive lineman Taj Kaynor outside a house on Table Mesa Drive.
About two weeks earlier in mid-June, Perri was involved in an off-campus fight in which he and linebacker Michael Sipili brawled with two other men. Sipili was initially charged with a felony after beating one of the men so badly he required facial surgery. Sipili eventually plead guilty to reduced charges and was suspended from the team and from campus throughout the fall semester. Perri wasn't charged and Sipili has been reinstated.
