SJSU didn't have to go far:
Tiuke Tuipulotu, a 5-10 186 running back/defensive back (and teammate of DeLeon Eskridge at Serra) has verbally committed to SJSU.
His HS coach Patrick Walsh (is he the former Spartan running back and baseball player?) envisions Tuipulotu in the secondary for SJSU as a safety.
As a running back: 81 carries for 624 yards.
As a DB: 4.9 tackle per game.
It's interesting because Rivals has only BYU listed as a school of interest and nobody else.
The kid was Serra's MVP as a junior.
Here's a link to Serra football if you wish to read some material about the kid:

As for other details, here's Walsh:
"undersized, but makes up for it with determination and aggression...He's a coach's dream – the hardest worker in the weight room."
Added Walsh: "If he was 6-1 instead of 5-10 we'd be talking about Michigan or Penn State or USC. It's amazing what 3-4 inches means."
Tuipulotu has already earned Sophomore Player of the Year and Junior POY in the West Catholic Athletic League, one of the toughest leagues in the state.
Last season, he was also named to the all-state underclassman first-team defensive squad and San Jose Mercury News Junior of the Year, as well as being named to the San Francisco Chronicle All-Metro first-team defense.
