Assuming McMackin is their choice to replace JJ, it seems to me they are doing the process of replacing both their FB coach and AD backwards. While I understand the recruiting timeline, Hawaii is taking the big (IMO) chance that the new AD and new FB coach conflict. Shouldn't the new AD be part of selection process for a new coach? Of course, they may already have in mind who the new AD will be and have consulted that person.
