Plastic water bottles are a major contributor to land fills and roadside litter. Unfortunately they are one of many plastic items manufactured, used once, and then discarded which is a common theme in our throw-away society. In the near future look for bio-plastics that decompose in a relatively short time but until then I'd go with tap. You're going to die someday and it's probably not going to be from tap water poisoning.
