Boise State, BYU agree to football series
The teams will play four games, two in Provo and two in Boise, beginning in 2012.

Boise State and BYU have agreed to a four-year football series beginning in 2012, the schools announced Monday.
The series will begin Sept. 22, 2012, at Bronco Stadium. The teams will play Sept. 7, 2013, in Provo, Utah; Sept. 6, 2014 in Boise; and Sept. 12, 2015, in Provo.
The series means that Boise State will play Utah and BYU in 2012 and 2013. The 2012 schedule includes games at Utah, at Oregon State and at home against BYU and Bowling Green.
Boise State swept a two-game series with BYU in 2003 and 2004. The Broncos won 50-12 in 2003 in Provo and 28-27 in 2004 in Boise, a game decided by a BYU missed field goal in the closing seconds.
The BYU deal gives Boise State upcoming home-and-home contracts with regional foes Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, BYU and Wyoming.
Also, Boise State announced that this year's nonconference game at Southern Miss has been tentatively scheduled for Oct. 11. The Broncos only play two non-conference games in the first five weeks of the season, which likely means they will play at least two WAC games before playing host to Bowling Green on Oct. 4 and traveling to Southern Miss.
The Broncos also play at home against Idaho State on Aug. 30 and at Oregon on Sept. 20. The WAC schedule isn't expected to be released until at least early March.
