My local paper has a female sports editor who still hasn't posted the Hawaii-Northern Colorado score, even though Cal Poly plays NoColo this month! Now you know why a Hawaii player won't ever win the Heisman. The over/under for Hawaii at LaTech is 76-1/2 pts, yet the Warriors are favored by 28. Would you give the points or take the overs? Both FSU and SJS are similar underdogs at 17 and 17-1/2 respectively. Which team will beat the point-spread? Texas A&M or Kansas State? --Previous Message--

Fresno State hasn't played Cal Poly for some time. I think Pat Hill doesn't like to play a team inside his recruiting area. The Mustangs lost at Texas State last Saturday, 35-38. Tomey's former DC Rich Ellerson was alternating QBs and running a Triple Option with his star RB's hand in a cast. Yet his tall WR Barden had over 200 yds in receptions! If their QBs would throw to more than one guy, they might have won.
: Nevada 21 - Northwestern 20
: Just because I think Northwestern's not as
: good as they looked against a Div. II team,
: and Nevada's not as crummy as they looked
: against Nebraska
:
: Boise St. 38 - Washington 21
: Locker (QB) is most of Huskies' offense, and
: Boise could put up 42 on Syracuse, too.
:
: Wyoming 52 - Utah St. 3
: This week's answer to ASU-SJSU
:
: Texas A&M 30 - Fresno St. 10
: If 21 is all the Bulldogs could put up
: against Cal Poly . . . (that said, I can't
: get my computer to follow "Fresno
: St." with a single-digit number)
:
: Cal Poly 17 - Idaho 13
: I'm convinced Idaho looked tough against USC
: because the Trojans couldn't get up for the
: game.
:
: SJSU 24 - Kansas St. 21
: I know this gets me laughed off the site and
: maybe even suspended from posting for
: awhile, but I don't think we've totally
: reverted to 2005 form -- it's just the
: inexperience at safety, OL, and WR that are
: killing us. I predict we have more creative
: play calling, establish a running game (yes,
: I know Auburn couldn't clear 70 yards, but
: hey, they don't have Yonus!), our WRs run
: better routes and catch the ball more
: consistently, and Lowery, Owens, and
: Hunsucker all intercept KSU's inept QB (17
: picks vs. 6 TDs in his college career!).
: OK, I'm done now. Just let me dream, you
: realists. SJSU rebounds.
:
: NMSU 45 - UNM 28
: The Aggies pass all day.
:
: Hawaii 45 - LaTech 28
: The Rainbows pass all day, but it's in LA,
: so I give the other Bulldogs more credit
: than they're probably worth.
