Nor do they get on their knees and beg forgiveness. The biggest off-in-the-distance concern for SJSU is who replaces Tomey. How does SJSU match the instant stature the Tomey hire provided? No one in the current batch of assistants, however solid they are their respective current jobs, is a Tomey replacement. Tom Bowen, if he is still here at that point, faces an extremely tough hire once Dick Tomey says aloha.
