I finally have a digital (dvd) copy of that 16mm game film I bought on Ebay a few weeks ago. The film is the 4th quarter of the 1966 game between SJS and Idaho at Spartan Stadium. Danny Holman runs for a 3 yard toudhdown for the game's final score. Spartans won 21-7. One Spartan (#23) picks off a couple of passes. Although the film is in B/W, and there is no sound, it is in really good condition. You get a good look at the old scoreboard that reads "Go Spartans Go". There's not too many shots of the crowd, which appears to be good size. There's lots of skirts on the ladies, and a number of men wearing ties. The stadium still had those plateforms that the cheerleaders could stand an/or sit on. Also, the rounded stairs that dropped right onto the field can be seen. All in all, the film only lasts about 6-7 minutes, because it was only capturing the actual plays, and not the period in between the plays. I'm going to look into getting onto YouTube.
