Posted by bambi2godzilla on 8/2/2007, 11:50 am In the 1986 NFL draft, Bill Walsh selected: Larry Roberts, a second rounder (he traded down with his first-round pick) who proved to be a solid DE in the NFL. Walsh hit the jackpot in the third round: FB Tom Rathman, DB Tim McKyer and WR John Taylor. Round four brought: DE Charles Haley, OL Steve Wallace and DE Kevin Fagan. In round six came: DB Don Griffin Simply amazing to find so many starters (8) in one draft. Nobody else has ever come close. This draft especially, but others too, ;aid the foundation for the 49ers successful long run.

Nobody has ever achieved this before or after.
