The Mercury News carried a story on the “Team of the Century" in conjunction with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of SJSU football. John Akers wrote the story, which was published on October 11, 1995. Members of the “Team of the Century” were selected by a panel consisting of Bob Bronzan, Dave Ellis, Chon Gallegos, Dan Hruby, Guy Liggins and Dr. Pete Zidnak.
