Posted by bambi2godzilla Gary Emanuel Joins Football Coaching Staff Most recently, Emanuel was the San Francisco 49ers' defensive line coach for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Rooted in Division I-A football, the new San Jose State assistant coach has coached at Purdue (1997-2004), at Washington State (1994-96) and at Syracuse (1991-93). He has been part of 11 teams that participated in post-season bowl games. The 1982 graduate of Plymouth State University began his coaching career in 1981 at his alma mater. In four seasons, he served as an offensive line coach and offensive coordinator. He moved to West Chester University in 1985 and coached the Golden Rams’ defensive line for two seasons. Emanuel also coached at the University of Massachusetts and at Dartmouth College.
